The ASIMA Industrial Association and TRUEWORLD Organization have signed a collaboration agreement in which they will join forces to convert the Son Castelló Industrial Estate into the first intelligent industrial estate in the Balearic Islands.
TRUEWORLD is taking on one of the most innovative technological projects in the Balearic Islands. The first phase of the project will be the installation of components and data monitoring systems through sensors to obtain, in real time, the calculation of the carbon footprint of all companies that are part of the Association of Industrialists ASIMA interested in the new path towards sustainability.
ASIMA will inform its associates of the existence of this new solution, as well as the possibility of forming part of the Balearic Network of sustainable and responsible businesses. TRUESMART, a solution created and launched on the market by TRUEWORLD, includes the assessment and reduction of the environmental impact caused by the companies concerned by calculating and recording the carbon footprint in real time, as well as the implementation of a plan to reduce the emissions generated. In addition, TRUEWORLD will make it possible to neutralise unavoidable emissions by contributing to projects linked to the carbon credit market.
To make this calculation possible, TRUESMART includes the installation of components that allow the necessary data to be obtained, all in a blockchain environment that provides traceability and veracity to the data. It also includes an online training plan on good practices in the sector and a sustainability report.
In recent years we have witnessed the growing need for SMEs to face a process of transformation and digitisation towards more innovative, more competitive and, at the same time, more sustainable production models. In short, we have seen Industry 4.0 become a reality. Emerging technologies are revolutionising the sector by automating and optimising traditional processes, avoiding exposure to risk and improving efficiency. The progressive implementation of this set of techniques has resulted in the creation of smart industrial parks. It is not just a technological concept, but the present and the future of activity in this sector.
Starting from the main operational pitfalls, the integration of these intelligent services in industrial areas brings numerous benefits, among which the following can be highlighted:
The collection of information, data analysis and simulation tools make it possible to create, based on predictive models, highly efficient algorithms for the management of resources and environmental impact.
It facilitates coordination between different areas, creating a systematised and transparent ecosystem that can be accessed quickly and instantly.
In a global vision, collaboration between different companies can be strengthened. Moreover, by sharing quality, capacity and logistics variables, savings can be achieved in the short, medium and long term.
