TRUEWORLD has developed TRUEPORTS, a project presented to the PORTS 4.0 tradetech in the framework of innovation grants promoted by state ports. It is a low-carbon initiative for marinas and marinas that combines Blockchain technology and BigData to address the challenges of sustainability and responsibility that the climate emergency currently requires. The TRUEPORTS product has been designed for port activity to achieve an economic, social and environmental balance in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This Thursday 1st of July the Club Náutico del Arenal receives the accredited certification of participation in the Network of Sustainable Ports and Marinas by TRUEPORTS and the Flag of adhesion to the Low Carbon Initiative is hoisted.
The event will be attended by
Ferrán Muniesa (Director of CNA)
Marco Mendoza (CEO of TRUEWORLD)
Paloma Gutiérrez (CEO of Practica ODS)
Daniel Ramón Manera (CEO of PODARCIS).
The Arenal Yacht Club is committed to develop its activity under the principles of sustainability and responsibility on which the TRUEPORTS Initiative is based: calculation and registration of the Carbon Footprint, active compensation, traceability of data through Blockchain technology and the dissemination of good environmental practices related to port activity.
The main objective of the TRUEPORTS Low Carbon Initiative is to provide port entities with a tool that guarantees a sustainable activity that reduces negative impacts on the environment and an efficient operation that optimises the natural resources of ports and marinas.
In addition, the Club will act in compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 14 (Protection of Underwater Life).
In order to engage stakeholders and promote a sustainable culture among users and visitors, TRUEPORTS includes a guide to good environmental practices and an environmental training plan.
TRUEWORLD combines Blockchain technology, which provides traceability and veracity to all information, and BigData technology, which allows analysis and predictive decision making, TWO offers the only product on the market that provides optimal resource management, a calculation and recording of the environmental impact caused, a plan to reduce it and a system for visualising data ingested in real time.
At TRUEWORLD we are committed to allocate 10% of the income generated with TRUEPORTS to education programmes, environmental awareness and conservation and research projects for #OceanicPosidonia, among other species. We currently collaborate with MedGardens.
About TRUEWORLD Organization
It is a start-up conceived in Mallorca (Balearic Islands) in 2020. TWO was born as an innovative and entrepreneurial start-up led by like-minded people, who share a common purpose: to fight climate change by organising the world's environmental data. 'We receive terabytes of raw data from satellites, ground sensors and the global network to assess society's environmental impacts'. Climate change and the lack of transparency and accessibility of information are the greatest threats to our species today. A threat that forces us to realistically and effectively address its harmful effects on society and the environment. That is why we are developing the Global Climate Change Observatory; an innovative geographic information system, which receives data via geospatial data, visualises it in 3D and in real time.
